I was very surprised at the amount of historical information that shows how this happened. I think a lot of history of the Sabbath and its change is now being looked into and much more facts being brought up.

Thank you for the information. Some of it I have read already but other parts I have not seen before. There really isn't a specific time that people stopped observing the sabbath it was just gradual from what I have studied. This is such a big change in doctrine that I am very surprised that Martin Luther or John Wesley didn't see this. Where was the sabbath keepers from 300ad to the 19th century? Even today with all of this documented history on the change the catholic church made to the sabbath day why isn't more people finding this. Whenever the discussion comes up with people of different faiths the biggest response I hear is that "were not under the law anymore where saved by grace" .

I think there is also some underlying prejudice against the jews that made them reluctant to accept the Sabbath truth, and thus easier to justify a cover using the 'Lords Day' which Sunday was also known as to the pagans, as in the pagan god they considered their Lord or 'Baal's day'.
Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.” Jer 23:27 (KJV)
Strong's Hebrew Number 1168 Hebrew word: Ba'al {bah'-al}Strong’s shows: Baal = "lord" (Baal equals Lord).
Strong’s says: Lord or Baal was the “supreme male divinity of the Phoenicians or Canaanites.”

When the critics have been proven to be so wrong, on so many points, and some are quite simple, why should we listen to them on anything?
