Every Adventist I have met in person agrees that real fire destroys real people in the Lake of Fire and that the people killed are in fact DUST to start with.

The one's who accept Ellen White have all -- also - agreed without reservation to GC 672-673 as being an accurate account of what REALLY happens in the Lake of Fire.

Of course - I live in the Eastern U.S and attend churches that are known for being anywhere between moderate to conservative.

It is also true that pretty much ALL of them reject the myths of evolutionism. ALL of them accept the fact that Christ took the punishment for sin that we OWE and paid our debt of suffering for sin - on the cross.

The idea that "only a few" of them share these views is not reality by any means. However - I will agree that you could probably find some areas of the country where there was more of what you have suggested available maybe even dominant. And who knows you might even find one or two churches in the Eastern US that go for that if you went to the right state and the right city.

But by in large (as it turns out) SDAs go along with the 28 FB. Hence my statements at the start of this thread on SDAs and Fundamentalist Christianity.

"Do you believe God will make the wicked pay for their sins by burning them alive with literal fire for from many hours to many days" and see what sort of response you get.

Consider this forum as an example. AFAIK, you're the only one who holds to the viewpoint you are suggesting.

In the cleansing flames the wicked are at last destroyed, root and branch--Satan the root, his followers the branches. The Second Death

Satan rushes into the midst of his followers and tries to stir up the multitude to action. But fire from God out of heaven is rained upon them, and the great men, and mighty men, the noble, the poor and miserable, are all consumed together.

I saw that some were quickly destroyed, while others suffered longer. They were punished according to the deeds done in the body. Some were many days consuming, and just as long as there was a portion of them unconsumed, all the sense of suffering remained. Said the angel, "The worm of life shall not die; their fire shall not be quenched as long as there is the least particle for it to prey upon." {EW 294.1}


Satan and his angels suffered long. Satan bore not only the weight and punishment of his own sins, but

Again I looked and saw the earth purified. There was not a single sign of the curse. The broken, uneven surface of the earth now looked like a level, extensive plain.

Now back to you -- can you name even one published statement from the White Estate that says the details in these two references are not "REAL" but are merely symbolic and to be watered down as you see fit?

I was not able to find even one example of either a denominational position paper or a White Estate position paper endorsing such an abuse of the text.

Surely you must be joking when you make the argument that everybody on this forum denies what is written in GC673 and EW 294 just because they are letting the obvious points raised against your position "stand as is".

Your imagination seems to be playing tricks on you.
