GC, while I truly appreciate what you posted above, I did not see where you actually demonstrated that Moses clearly explained why Jesus had to die and that the animal sacrifices symbolized Jesus' death. Since Ellen said he understood it I have no problem believing that he did, however, it is also clear to me that he did not share it in print. GC explained that too, in quoting EGW's statements about the raising of the bronze serpent from the Desire of Ages. I read that recently and had the same though. I'm glad GC shared it. I thought he did a good job explaining it. I don't know if you have "The Everlasting Covenant" by Waggoner. It's a book which discusses the Gospel in the Pentateuch. It's over 500 pages! All of this, over 500 pages (!), explaining the Gospel in the Pentateuch. All Moses all the time. A part of the difficulty in responding to your question is that there is just so much! I mentioned that passages that Paul brought out because I thought that would be the easiest to recognize, since Paul himself quotes them. I would have thought that would been enough. But then you said Paul didn't explain Christ's death clearly either, so that killed that idea. As GC explained, quoting from EGW, Moses understood the Gospel. Now assuming that Moses explained the Gospel (which is reasonable, given he understood it) and given the Gospel is Jesus Christ and Him crucified, it follows that Moses preached Christ and Him crucified. Again I would refer to Waggoner for a detailed explanation.

Regarding "in thee shall all of the families be blessed," one can see this is the Gospel if one understands that the blessing comes in Christ, and, indeed, this is exactly what Paul argued! Continuing from Gal. 3, immediately following, Paul speaks of Christ becoming a curse for us to redeem us from the curse, so there can be no doubt this is speaking of Christ's death in the context of the Gospel.

Tom, to whom is to clear that Moses obviously meant what Paul, Ellen, and Wagoner said about it? Where did Moses say, "I understand the gospel as it relates to the death of Jesus and it is clearly reflected in everything I've written"?

If you don't think Paul or Jesus Christ or anybody in Scripture wasn't clear in explaining why Jesus Christ had to die, you're certainly not going to think Moses was clear about it.

On the contrary, Tom, it is precisely because Moses did not clearly explain 1) why Jesus had to die or that 2) the animal sacrifices symbolize His death that others were forced to "expound" upon the subject. I'm guessing you are never going to post passages from the Pentateuch you believe clearly explain why Jesus had to die. It is a simple request, and yet I am very certain you are never going to honor it. You are content to believe it yourself but unwilling or unable to back it up.
It amazes me that you refuse to acknowledge the most basic fact in the Bible, namely, Moses did not clearly explain why Jesus had to die and that he never wrote a word about the animal sacrifices symbolizing Jesus' death. Why are you so afraid to admit the truth? Why are you so afraid to post passages from the Pentateuch that prove what you believe? Talk is cheap, Tom, it's time you put up or shut up.

If you don't think Jesus Christ, Paul, or John were clearly explained why Christ had to die, surely you won't think Moses was. Ironically, Jesus Christ actually did so by quoting Moses! (in John 3)

You see, Tom, my predictions came true. You are more interested in playing dodge ball than posting passages from the Pentateuch which clearly explain why Jesus had to die. Suit yourself. But I think the approach you are taking here is cowardly.

You're not being fair, MM. First of all, I've already cited several things from Moses. I've also explained how Jesus Christ used Moses to explain His death. Both I and someone else on this thread have quoted from the SOP (GC I think it was) also explaining this, as well as other texts from the SOP.
When I asked if Jesus Christ, or Paul, or John explained Christ's death clearly, you said no, so I saw no point in continuing the topic of Moses. I've asked you several times why you want to do so, but you haven't answered.
Here's a simple question, MM. Do you not agree that if you insist neither Paul nor John nor Jesus clearly taught in relation to Christ's death that you're not going to agree that Moses did? To assert the reverse makes no sense. So what's the point?

Tom,
1. You haven't quoted from Moses.
2. Jesus had to "expound" upon what Moses wrote because he didn't clearly explain why Jesus had to die.
3. This thread isn't concerned with what Jesus, John, or Paul wrote about it. Other threads are dealing with that.

MM, I asked you: Do you not agree that if you insist neither Paul nor John nor Jesus clearly taught in relation to Christ's death that you're not going to agree that Moses did? To assert the reverse makes no sense. So what's the point? Please answer these questions.
