Hello I sometimes go to a place on the internet where they have a free Voice Talk thing with "rooms" and tonight they were talking about the commandments supposedly being done away with at the cross. They also were talking about that supposedly Jesus was only talking to the Jews when He said things about keeping the Law.. and that there were more than one "gospel"... etc... Anyway I just thought of something about the Three Angel's Messages that I wanted to share that I hadnt noticed before, at least not in this context. "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people... Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God" Rv 14:6,12 When it says the Three Angels Messages is the "everlasting Gospel" preached to "every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people" and then it says God's people keep the commandments... I never thought about it this way, that it is saying this everlasting Gospel isnt only for a certain time period and also this message about keeping the commandments is to EVERY nation, tongue and people, not just to the Jews. This dispensationalism is what they were talking about in the room, which I know little about... but it just made sense to me why God made sure to say this message of the gospel of keeping the law was to every people on the earth and not just to the Jews or for a certain time period. I just never saw it that way till now. ...maybe its goofy but it just makes sense to me. Maybe everyone else has already realized this but just in case someone didnt, I hope this helps = Claudia

Everyone starts life as a child and needs time to grow in the fruits of the Spirit and tallents given to them. What a child needs is a guiding hand and not remarks about their childishness.

Doug, It seemed to me that what you where after where people who didnt know alot about theology. If you limit it to people who refuse to learn or refuse to accept whats told then it slightly changes the situation.
As for SDA forums, I have seen both ends. Some where anyone can have any oppinion of whatever without problems and others where everything said should be backed or atlest you should be able to back it with scripture or EW to survive. I have even seen one where the founders worldview was revered as ultimate truth, very sectlike. I remember seeing you in one other forum, hmm, maybe two, but I dont know if it is either of these that you are refering to.
What if the problem was you came to teach calculus and they where all into trigonometry?

Doug, Getting into the meat of the teachings of the bible you ought to have a really good time in the "righteousness" threads of the forum. For the bible says: quote: 11We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. 12In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 6
1Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3And God permitting, we will do so.
Assuming ofcourse that the meat of the scripture is the same as the meat and potatoes of adventism...
