James, I agree that the law serves as a school teacher to point us to Jesus, and that it cannot save us. I also happen to know that you believe the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us when we walk in the Spirit and mind of the new man. Since the law is written in our heart and mind, and manifested in our behaviour, it is probably more accurate to say the law has been relocated, rather than eliminated. Do you see the difference? The law was transferred from tables of stone to tables of flesh. It wasn't eradicated.

Doug, I addressed a post to you (above), would you be willing to respond to it? If not, no big deal.

Okay, thanx. I was thinking maybe you had come across some new and deeper insights. But, hey, what can be more important than viewing the law of God in light of His loving character? and experiencing it ourselves. That's what I love most about Christianity - the joy of being Christlike. It still sort of freaks me out, though, when I don't even feel like yelling at someone who is driving too slow or too fast. Thank you Jesus. Life is so much more peaceful and less stressful.

Almost 30 years ago when I knew little of God, Jesus or the Bible I asked for one thing first to know.
If there is a God, if there is a Jesus I wanted to know the right way to worship Him.
Two things happened to me back then. I had no concordance, no friends at that time and I spent two years alone reading the Bible.
I had from time to time gone to church on Sunday, it was the only thing I knew and the only day accept that I did know that the Jews did go on Saturday.
The first thing that happened then was that my mother had come back into my life after seven years and from her I learned about God. During that time she had converted tothe Jewish faith.
From her I learned the beauty and blessings of keeping the Seventh-day Sabbath. From her I learned why God wrote in Genesis that He rested on the seventh day, make it holy.
The second thing I learned was there was no verse anyplace in the New Testament that came from Thus Saith the Lord to worship on any other day. Jesus kept the Seventh-day. The Apostles kept the Seventh-day, so where did the change come from?
I began to understand that it came from man and his misguided understanding of God. Tradition took the place of Thus Saith the Lord.
God showed this to me two years before I ever came across the SDA church. I was a Sabbath keeper before I ever knew there was a SDA church. Each one of us needs to go before the Lord and find the truth about the Sabbath with the trusted Word of God, the Holy Bible.
It is the only foundation in which we can stand and keep the Sabbath.

Thanx for sharing, Zoo Mama. It's so cool the way God leads each one of us to the truth as it is in Jesus. Amen!

Doug.
You are right, but if you are a law keeper, I am not.
You look at the law and try your best to be in harmony with the law, am I right?
I focused my mind on Christ, and he, through his Spirit fulfilled the demands of the law in me (Romans 8:4).
Is there any difference between booth?
In His love

Mike.
I agree with you.
The law is not eradicated, it still serve those Jews who rejects Christ, they were under the law forever.

James, I don't think we're saying the same thing about the law. Do you believe the law is written on our heart and mind when we're born again? If you answer, yes, then we are in agreement. But if you answer, no, then we're not saying the same thing. How can the law be eradicated or abolished, in cases concerning born again believers, if God has written it in their heart and mind?
