That all sounds great, and it is good to know that people understand that the Sabbath and the 10 commandments weren't just for the Jews since we see thae ark in Heaven, and the Bible does not mention the Sabbath as being nailed to the Cross nor does it even refer to making Sunday a Holy day. What have you done to put this God given wisdom into practice and tell others the Good News? God Bless, Will

Can't seek them out? Isn't that what our Example did? Luke 19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

You don't have to be Jesus to go out to the people and be a witness to them It is through Christ that we can do all things. God Bless, Will

Topic: The Commandments and the Sabbath -just for the Jews?
Surely Yes! For it is given to Israel through Moses at Sinai.
What commandments is for Christ’ believers?

Doug, I agree with you that discussing the rudimentary aspects of law and grace, faith and works, can be tedious, but I never tire of leading people to a knowledge of the truth. I’m sure you feel the same way. However, when I’m in the mood for deep study, it is less than rewarding when no one else wants to go deeper, especially if they accuse me of intellectualizing the truth or if they decide I’m guilty of spending too much time studying and not enough time seeking and saving the lost.
So, with this in mind, do you have any deeper thoughts related to this thread? I have found that the traditional answers concerning the law and the sabbath and the Jews and new covenant Christians just don’t cut it for most non-SDA believers. What do you tell sincere Christians who are willing to study it? James (posted above) seems to feel that the law was indeed done away with, replaced by another code of conduct. His argument doesn't cut it for me, but is there a solid answer to such ideas?

I have a reason to believe that the Commandments and the Sabbath was only for the Jews, otherwise non Jews would also come under the law and must keep the Sabbath. But Israel was chosen to come under the law of God, to keep the Sabbath, and not all other nations at that time.
But, with death and resurrection of Christ, other non Jews nations has the same rights and chance to become Christ’ believers, without the necessity to come under the law and be a law keeper, for what is asked from them is to believe in Christ, live with faith and walked after the Spirit. That’s all!!!
The law as a school teacher refers to the Jews, to lead them unto Christ and to accept him as their Messiah. Non Jews believers, when accepting Christ as their personal Redeemer and Savior and declare their faith in him, would become the children of God and were not under the supervision of the law (Galatians 3:23-27). They didn’t need the law because under the leading of the Spirit, the demands of the law is fulfilled in them.
In His love
James S
