Dave, I saw your post before your edits. I appreciate the fact that you're working to improve it. Thank you.
Regarding the law having been done away with in the KJV (or the appearance of this, for Dave has said that it has not actually been done away with and that the apparent contradictions disappear when studying carefully), the KJV has actually done a better job at preserving the law than the other versions.
Dave, yes, I guess you would place me among the 99% that you talked about who know of verses that deal with the law and have been often misconstrued. Personally, I would say the KJV wins in this area hands down over the modern versions. It surprises me that any KJV-opponent would even bring this issue up.
If you aren't interested in listing the verses, Dave, it tends not to bode well for your argument. I realize that there are emotional components to this discussion, as everyone has his or her own favorite opinion on the matter of Bible versions. But if you are the one to bring up a matter, and then choose not to support your side with the evidence, it tends to make people suspect that maybe you don't have all of the evidence that you have claimed.
Some have said that a Berean will study it out for himself. I would like to add a corollary to that: a Berean will also not hide the evidence from others but provide the evidence for others to see.
Truth has no reason to hide, and speaks for itself.
Would you like for a KJV-loving member of this discussion to present some of the verses pertaining to the law that you have not presented? I would be happy to present, but would like to offer you the first opportunity. Feel free to make the first impression. If you decline, I will cheerfully share what I have and we can continue the discussion from there.
Blessings,
Green Cochoa.
