Hmmm. Sounds like they haven't a clue what the weather is going to do. They just don't know.

But yet, the warming has slowed. Isn't that strange. The other thing is with all these extra efforts to curb them, the emissions still hit record highs....

Too funny! Sad thing is the same arguments and urging is going on because it's too hot. Or is it too cold? But, "The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality."

What is claimed by scientists is that the global warming produces, not exactly temperature rise, but extremes in temperature an in drought and floods, which is precisely what is happening.

This colder than usual Winter here in Canada and an also colder than usual Spring right up to and including today does seem to make one wonder if global warming is a farce.

Could it be???

It looks like the picture is worsening. It is cool this year, but wait about two or three years from now, say 2015-2016. Do you see the trend in the graph below measuring sea ice as a thermal indicator? Look at the fluctuations, both up and down, and how the pendulum has been swinging with increasing energy. This shows that the natural balance of things is being upset, and "climate change" may well be the best term, as both upward and downward swings are gaining impetus.



The most consistent thing about that graph is its fluctuations. The upward and downward movements might nearly be summarized in a sine wave, and it is regular enough in these movements to offer some good clues about what is coming ahead.

This graph demonstrates what I've been saying all along--that the pendulum is swinging harder. I expect more snow in winter due to global warming. The recent flooding is also clear evidence of warming. The warmer the planet, the more precipitation overall.

We need not be ignorant who have read the end of the book.

The RESTRAINT is being removed...

We see it around us here in Iceland. A German company from Bremen is getting permission to build a huge international harbor in the north eastern corner of our country. This harbor will service the boats sailing between China and Europe through the previously closed waters, closed by ice.

Much of the ice is disappearing, increasing the temperatures of the oceans, but also causing more storms in our area, and I hear the storm howling outside my window while I am writing this. It is tearing the green leaves off the trees. We were warned so we tied everything that could blow away. Our neighbor had not tied down his trashcan, so we saw the contents blowing in different direction, but fortunately he braved the storm and was able to pick it up without blowing away himself.

So Green, therefore we conclude we will have periods of warmth followed by periods of coldness with variations in between.

1980 to 2013.

Green, based on the science you understand, would you say that is an adequate sample size to base any conclusion on a change given how long life has been on this earth? And have you come across in statistics and research something called "outliers"? If you throw 2007 out, what does the chart tell you? About even, possibly an increasing amount of sea ice. Why is September 9 a valid reference point for comparison? If other dates are chosen and it shows something different, would you reject them?

Have you calculated what percentage of time you are using to make a future claim?

All I hear you saying is that we have global warming because we are having warmer winters, colder winters, winters with more snow, winters with less snow, ....

In other words, you ain't sain' a thing.
