Sin is the disease, all the behaviors are symptoms. You are not responsible for that over which you have no control, but you are responsible for what you do. If Christ died only for that over which we have no control, what is the purpose and the effect of His death?

If Christ died only for that over which we have no control, what is the purpose and the effect of His death? As in medicine, if your diagnosis is wrong, then your solution will most likely be wrong.

...which tells me that the other worlds are still being pestered by Satan in the here and now To which I will say, John 12:31-32 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all to me. "ALL" - the whole universe. To which EGW will comment: Satan saw that his disguise was torn away. His administration was laid open before the unfallen angels and before the heavenly universe. He had revealed himself as a murderer. By shedding the blood of the Son of God, he had uprooted himself from the sympathies of the heavenly beings. Henceforth his work was restricted. Whatever attitude he might assume, he could no longer await the angels as they came from the heavenly courts, and before them accuse Christ's brethren of being clothed with the garments of blackness and the defilement of sin. The last link of sympathy between Satan and the heavenly world was broken. {DA 761.2} So no, I do not think that Satan is tempting anyone else except us, because even if he did have access to them, and was harassing them, they know the truth. And note WHO shed the blood of Christ? Why do people still insist that God executed Christ? Ellen White's statement indicates that they are being tempted. She uses the word "tempted." You are contradicting her by your own cherished opinion. Opinions are fine, as long as they do not contradict what God says. Tread carefully. I've been many times tempted to do that which I don't want to do. Why? Maybe you've never had such an experience. Adam had it. He didn't want to eat the fruit. But he ate it anyway--because he wanted Eve. Having a temptation does not mean you had sympathy for the tempter or temptress, nor does it mean you want to be tempted. This discussion about temptations and who is tempted comes back to your core theology regarding the source of temptations. At this point in the discussion, it doesn't matter whether you admit that other worlds are being tempted now or not. You have admitted that in the past, at least, they were. That is sufficient. How did their sinless DNA temp them? Blessings, Green Cochoa.
We can receive of heaven's light only as we are willing to be emptied of self. We can discern the character of God, and accept Christ by faith, only as we consent to the bringing into captivity of every thought to the obedience of Christ. And to all who do this, the Holy Spirit is given without measure. In Christ "dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him." [Colossians 2:9, 10.] {GW 57.1} -- Ellen White.

Are you forgetting the rest of the conversation? Do the other worlds have to overcome as we have to overcome? No. All the temptations of other worlds have their origin with Satan. Remove Satan, they go away. This is not true for fallen beings. The temptation is now inherent to the individual.

Remove Satan, they go away. This is not true for fallen beings. The temptation is now inherent to the individual. So, you believe we no longer are tempted by Satan since we already fell prey to his tricks? You think we can only be tempted from within? I don't understand what you are saying here. Blessings, Green Cochoa.

So, you believe we no longer are tempted by Satan since we already fell prey to his tricks? You think we can only be tempted from within? Did I say that? Nope. Satan continues his work here. But take Satan out of the picture, would not solve the problem here.

What, then, did you mean in your use of the word "inherent?"
Blessings,
Green Cochoa.

So, I'm trying to comprehend this. Here is our conversation of late in this thread: The temptation is now inherent to the individual. What, then, did you mean in your use of the word "inherent?"
Blessings,
Green Cochoa. Existing as an essential constituent or characteristic; intrinsic. Are you now saying that either Satan or temptation or both is an "essential constituent or characteristic" for us? Why do you think it is essential for us to be tempted or to have Satan's presence with us? Blessings, Green Cochoa.
We can receive of heaven's light only as we are willing to be emptied of self. We can discern the character of God, and accept Christ by faith, only as we consent to the bringing into captivity of every thought to the obedience of Christ. It is so interesting how you twist questions. How do you do that?
"Do I think it is essential for us to be tempted?" Huh? Where does this come from?
Rosangela gave the answer for us here on earth - our internal temptations come to us as an inheritance. Our sinful flesh tempts us. Satan tempts us. Is that hard to understand?
