JSOT is right on this one. Carbon dioxide causes acidification of water, just by air contact. This is why some people claim that distilled water is not good for you, because, by virtue of having been distilled, it is even more apt to absorb carbon dioxide and become acidic. However, acidic water is not necessarily unhealthful--at least not to us. If it were, soda pop would be put out of business quickly, because the carbonation in them is much stronger than what would occur naturally in water given our present atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide.

But what does the acidification of the water do to the rest of our environment? I don't think we even know much about this yet. It certainly does change things.

I find it very interesting how so many conservative "Christians" (so called) are thinking that men have nothing to do with the things that are happening on this planet.

I would venture to say that anyone who claims there is no such thing as climate change or global warming are not truly Christians in the righteous sense.

The majority of Christians think that God will protect them from the things coming on the planet when it is actually they who are the cause of the problems by not listening to God, and He is withdrawing His Spirit and allowing Satan to give them the fruit of their reward.

What can we do about it? Take care of your souls and come before God with trembling and repentance so you are not held responsible by your lack of faith in the prophecies of God and His testimony.

I was shocked to see the "global warming farce" as a heading on a seventh day Adventist website, but then I found out who was responsible and it made sense then.

James, it's sad that you are so unwilling to look at the obvious. No where in your response (nor Green's) do you address the ongoing nuclear disaster. An indication of your ignorance of the facts.

You could have showed how 2 degrees increase causes sores, death, tumors, skin problems of sailors going through the area. You could have dismissed the nuclear cause and showed how nuclear radiation does not cause sores, death, tumors, skin problems of sailors going through the area. But instead, your response is glaringly lacking of any response about that -- an indication of your lack of knowledge. You are out of touch with what is happening in this world. Obviously, you did not read the links...

I have been protesting what happened at Fukushima for years now. I have family that lives in Alaska which is the main path for the prevailing winds, and that is a whole other subject.

I do not claim to be a prophet, but I have been given the prophetic gift at my Lord's pleasure. It is at His command, not mine. I pray for light and He gives me what He wants me to know. Usually it is a clue that leads me to find the right information to answer the prayer. Sometimes it's a full on prophetic vision or dream or inspiration.

I thought since you seemed to be someone who was against the conservationist movement based solely off how you presented this thread that you had information about me and my involvement in the Fukushima issue.

You see I have been a strong activist for the US government to get involved in the cleanup efforts in Japan and have been stalked by haters online for years because of it. People literally call my home and threaten me because of my activism.

When you lightly mentioned Fukushima earlier I thought you were one of them who have stalked me online. I apologize for thinking that. But you have to admit that it is kind of strange for someone who makes fun of the Climate change issue to be so assertive on the nuclear disaster.

The change to Climate change implies you realize it's not warming but don't know whether it's cooling, warming, or staying the same, but it must, it certainly must, at least you hope it must be changing somehow....
