Aye, he is. But his army lives on and is very active in making chickens just disappear, with out a trace. Watch your alarm system, we're running short of good clean chickens down here. ------------------ Is what you're living for worth Christ dying for? Gerry B.

The real Colonel Sanders actually did invade Canada. He lived near Oakville, Ontario for almost a decade. Some church members who were vegetarians as children see him as a most honored liberator. Not any more, but several years ago I used to go to his "outposts" regularly for cole slaw. ------------------ "He Restoreth My Soul" Pastor Andrew [This message has been edited by A. Hmmmmm, well I don't know. Might be need for cheap fast food in Canada. Back in '91, after driving for a couple of hours, we ended up in Hope BC....Son and wife stayed asleep in back of the RV.....so didn't want to wake the relatives up too early. Daughter and I got breakfast, Think I had one egg/toast, and a cup of coffee, daughter had one pancake and a glass of OJ. Tab came to something over $8. U.S. I was sort of shocked!!!!!! Guess that the Canadian Border Patrol of CHICKENFEATHERS, didn't like giving up their hard laid eggs (ggggg) BTW, has anybody ever attempted to water ski on the Frazier River in Hope, BC....by just hooking on a tow line on a shoreside tree? It sure does move a LOT of water. When my wife was a little girl...she watched a bear swim across there, right near her uncles house...guess the water level must have been down then...as when we visited there, didn't see any bears (gggg) (but heard the squaks of a few Chickens )

We need more good Mexican food up here. Franchises like Chi-Chi's and Taco Time are always having their shops go out of business. I guess we Northerners prefer to have poutine (fries and melted cheese, not Vladimir) as our favourite colon party trigger. For some real water fun, try visiting the Saguney (sp?) river region of Quebec. It is the world's second longest fjord. Water comes rushing out of La Belle Provence about as fast as the opponents to Bill 101. (Sorry about that obscure reference, but anyone who lived in Canada during the Levesque years would "get it"). ------------------ "He Restoreth My Soul" Pastor Andrew

Hmmm.just found this thread. Looks quite interesting, but as I read through it, I kinda had to take a second look. JR, YOU REALLY THREW ME! That ferry ride from Sidney to Nfld would be a doozey.LOL For you see, SIDNEY is in British Columbia. Sydney is in Nova Scotia. Oh, I know you put Sidney ,NS, but I didn't see that at first!!! Speaking of Baths. Ever since my land-lady when I lived in B.C., told me it was "like sitting in your own slop", I've had difficulty taking a bath without having a shower FIRST (ggggg). Now JR, don't make fun of the many colorful houses here in Nova Scotia. There is a reason, no perhaps 2 reasons for this: #1) The Home Hardware store had a special on pastel and bright colors #2) The French and Acadians LIKE bright and DIFFERENT colors. Cheticamp , a NS town at entrance of Cabot Trail on North side has about 30 houses, and everyone is a different color. I tell you it gets your attention when you drive through.A bright RED, then pastel GREEN, Bright YELLOW, pastel PINK, Bright BLUE, light brown..you don't have trouble keeping awake there. Don't you Yankees even THINK of invading us. We'll know YOU by your funny accents! Might even have to use our secret arsenal. Snowballs in the winter, ROCKS in the summer and fall. What am I saying? Winter is 11 months of the year, and July is well, "just HARD SLEDDIN'!! Keep "the" faith! Laurie
