Not sure I'd count methane as a pollutant, but plastics seem to have infiltrated everything. Since China is no longer willing to be the world's waste basket in taking plastic bags, think ships are just dumping them into the ocean?
I tend to think of pollutants more of along the lines of DDT, PCBs, sulfur and nitrogen waste compounds, industrial waste, when rivers light up in fire, nuclear waste with no plan on what to do with it, etc. We don't hear much about those things, real pollution anymore.
Do you think there is a possibility that those who are heavy industrial polluters created the global warming farce in order to take the focus off of their real pollution, and when everyone else is busy watching probes being shoved up cows rears, they are casually dumping real pollution into the rivers and soil.

The Pope appears to be using global warming to help erase boarders (for the future of the planet) and strengthen his grip on hearts and minds by supplanting democracy and claiming control of the world’s economy. Also, that bit about ignoring "special interests" could easily be applied to religious groups. If enough people realize it's all made up and fake, then the papacy would have not strength along those lines. They'd have to fabricate something else. More mileage being made along these lines: See Pope Summons World LeadersMay 14, 2020 is a date set by the papacy -- calling a gathering in Rome of all the "great ones of the earth" religious, economic, social, political -- to unite "to save the global village" .

What'd I tell you. Pope is jumping on the bandwagon to milk it for all it's worth. Don't matter whether he believes it. Don't matter whether it's true. But all that matters is whether it can be used to politically manipulate it for selfish centered purposes.
