that is because you have never spent anytime in desert where temperatures reach heights so that the sand is scalding at noon, only to cool down dramatically by midnight so that you need a blanket to keep warm. sda live in a bubble. it is the same narrow-mindedness that causes them to speak of a universal seven day-night cycle week when the arctic regions go without sunrise for what equatorial regions call months on end.

But you say they cool down at nights. Wouldn't that average out.
Please show by calculations how the warming of deserts by the day and cooling by nights cause the surface of the oceans to rise by 1 degree.

over time, the daily temperatures average 1 degree higher, "era over era". why? well:

1. just as the sun heats up the upper layers of sand that cover the desert, so it also heats up the SURFACE water of the oceans.

2. but in bathing the earth (whether land or sea), the sun's heat gets increasingly trapped near the surface by the increasing CO2 human beings increasingly produce by the increasing large scale breakdown of fossil fuels and such.

3. felling trees decreases the recycling of the green house gases (i.e. CO2) dramatically exacerbating the problem

NB: these are fundamental concepts of science and are collectively referred to as commonsense.
