Can you spot the misinformation?
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/16/covid-deaths-on-the-rise-again-after-weeks-of-decline-cdc-says.html"Deaths from the coronavirus are increasing again as the delta variant rips through unvaccinated pockets of the country, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday."
Ummm, does that mean the regular virus doesn't affect the unvaccinated, but only the variant does? Very odd. Better look for more details.
"After weeks of declines, seven-day average daily deaths have increased by 26% to 211 per day,"
The sky is falling, the sky is falling, run for the hills!
Wait. 211 per day? What was it before?
At least they were honest enough to give the graph.
Notice they claimed over 2000 daily deaths in April, 2020, then a drop towards July of about 500, then the mask mandate went into effect at which point the number of deaths skyrocketed to above 1000 and never dropped again to the levels before the mask mandates until recently (they don't tell you that). Then in January 2021, almost 3,500 deaths, then mask mandates eased and it's dropped ever since. And they now say it like the sky is falling at 200 deaths?!
"Current rates of asymptomatic breakthrough infections are largely unknown after the CDC decided to count only the breakthrough cases that resulted in hospitalization or death. That move was criticized by health experts worldwide."
Catch that? Can anyone say, "polio"? Change the disease determination once the vaccinations come out.
"Of the cases documented by the CDC, about 75% of breakthrough cases that resulted in hospitalization or death occurred in people over the age of 65."
Ummm, what was the probability of people dying over 65 before the vaccine?
Talk about misinformation...
