By order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), proof of vaccination is required to access some events, services and businesses. You must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. By October 24, you must be fully vaccinated. The requirement is in place until January 31, 2022 and could be extended.

The requirement applies to all people born in 2009 or earlier (12+) and covers:

Indoor ticketed sporting events with more than 50 people
Indoor concerts, theatre, dance and symphony events with more than 50 people
Licensed restaurants and cafes and restaurants and cafes that offer table service (indoor and patio dining), including liquor tasting rooms in wineries, breweries or distilleries
Pubs, bars and lounges (indoor and patio dining)
Nightclubs, casinos and movie theatres
Gyms, exercise/dance facilities/studios and these activities happening in recreation facilities
Businesses offering indoor exercise/fitness
Indoor adult group and team sports for people 22 years old or older
Indoor organized events with 50 or more people.
For example: wedding and funeral receptions (outside of a funeral home), organized parties, conferences, trade fairs and workshops
Indoor organized group recreational classes and activities with more than 50 people like pottery, art and choir
Post-secondary student housing
Spectators at indoor youth sporting events with more than 50 people


Well, most of those are not essential -- we are still allowed to worship in worship places, go to stores, banks, libraries, museums, so we can still function, but will it get worse?

single dose accepted between September 20 and October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service
double doses required after October 25
documentation of a medical exemption
proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)
Businesses do not need to apply for the program. Audits and enforcement will occur to ensure rules are followed.?

Notice that if you choose to provide a negative test result in lieu of a Covid Passport, you must pay to have an independent test performed!

Why should those who have chosen to squander their health be allowed to cause hardship and harm for the rest of us?

New Brunswick tried to require that only fully vaccinated people could go to church, however, they received so much resistance, that they changed it to one option for fully vaccinated with full capacity with no social distancing and the other option to include non-vaccinated people at 50% capacity with social distancing and no singing with Mask Wearing being required for both options.

Which is strange, because vaccinated still get covid with the full viral load to spread to those around them!
But I can't go to restaurants anymore -- I'm too dangerous, even though healthy! Oh, well, I can cook.
