Scripture says "Babylon is fallen" -- Babylon in which many of God's people are located. Babylon is depicted in Revelation as a "woman" symbolic of God's bride, who is fornicating with kings and promoting false doctrines.

Go on the internet and you will see "Babylon" on many websites, saying the Sabbath keeping church is presenting a false gospel. So we need to know WHAT IS THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL in truth?

The first angel couples the EVERLASTING GOSPEL with
1, Worship the Creator
2. Quotes from the fourth commandment in connection with worshipping the Creator
3. Announces the "hour of judgment" HAS COME.
4. And later we read a blessing on those who keep the commandments and have the faith of Jesus.

Yet, I find many of those anti-Adventist websites accuse Adventists of not having the gospel and cite these very beliefs as proof because Adventists believe God created in six literal days, God sanctified and blessed the 7th day and invites us to remember that day to keep it holy, and Adventists believe the "hour of judgement" is in the heavenly courts BEFORE the second coming (As per Daniel 7)


The central point of the gospel is the birth, life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, this constitute good news and this is man's only hope." It was promised and foreshadowed all through the Old Testament, and fills the New Testament with the reality of it!
Yes, it is awesome news -- yet the question then: why isn't everyone saved and going to be swept up to heaven when Jesus comes?

Revelation gives some very urgent and powerful warnings that suggest most will NOT be worshipping the Creator God. When the crises comes it's going to be terrible for them, and worse, the second coming will be darkness and they will miss out on eternal life.

So the question --
why would people think honoring and fellowshipping with our Creator and Sanctifier on the seventh day be against the gospel? Yes, Satan has distorted the Sabbath and some just see it as rules and not a special time when we rest from our works and devote the time to our God. Of course rules don't save, but fellowship with our Savior is very much part of the gospel. The Sabbath is the very symbol of resting from our works and enjoying His saving grace.

And the judgment? Oh, how many denounce that, saying it robs them of assurance. Yet the Bible is plain that all will at some time meet the judgment. And those three angels seem to be very intense in trying to wake people up out of false security and assurance.

So what is the true gospel?

1. The cross reveals God's supreme justice against sin (Isaiah 53:4-6, 2Cor. 5:21, Romans 3:24-26)
While the cross was a horrific example of human injustice, it was also a necessary work of God?s justice. God cannot simply ignore sin, the transgressor must die, but God dealt with the sins of his people on the cross in his son. Thus we can be forgiven through Jesus death on the cross.

2. The cross reveals God's supreme love for sinners (John 3:16, Romans 5:8)

3. The cross is the power to break the chains of sin in our lives (Romans 6:22-23, 2 Cor. 5:17; Romans 8:3-8, Matt 7:21

4. Power to transform our lives to mirror the character of Christ. (2 Cor. 3:18, Col. 3:10)

5. Promise of everlasting life! (1 John 2:17, Psalms 36:9)

A Message written in November 1900 by EGW"

"The Lord wishes all to understand his providential dealings now, just now, in the time in which we live. There must be no long discussions, no presenting of new theories in regard to prophecies that God has already made plain. The great work from which the mind should not be diverted is the consideration of our personal standing in the sight of God. Are our feet on the Rock of Ages? Are we hiding ourselves in the only Refuge? The storm is coming, relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it? Are we one with Christ as he is one with the Father? Are we heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ? Are we working in co-partnership with the Saviour? {RH, November 27, 1900 par. 13}

Let all who would co-operate with God unite in proclaiming the present truth, the message of the third angel: "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." Then, as the eyes of John rested upon God's people, he exclaimed: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. RH, November 27, 1900 par 14

The Powers of earth will marshal their forces for the last great battle. How carefully we should improve the little remaining period of our probation! How earnestly we should examine ourselves! We should eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of God; that is, we should carefully study the Word, eat it, digest it, make it a part of our being. We are to live the Word, not keep it apart from our lives. The character of Christ is to be our character. We are to be transformed by the renewing of our hearts. Here is our only safety. Nothing can separate a living Christian from God. {RH, November 27, 1900 par. 16}

And then there is this part of the three angel's message.
The faithful remember their Creator both by sabbath observance and caring for the wonderfully designed bodies God has given us .

"Medical missionary work is to be to the third angel's message as the right hand to the body." RH Mar. 16, 1905
The health reform, I was shown, is a part of the third angel's message, and is just as closely connected with it as are the arm and hand with the human body. I saw that we as a people must make an advance move in this great work. Ministers and people must act in concert. God's people are not prepared for the loud cry of the third angel. They have a work to do for themselves 1T486

"he health reform is as closely related to the third angel's message as the arm to the body; but the arm cannot take the place of the body. The proclamation of the third angel's message, the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus, is the burden of our work. The message is to be proclaimed with a loud cry, and is to go to the whole world. The presentation of health principles must be united with this message, but must not in any case be independent of it, or in any way take the place of it. {CD 75.1} C[b][/b]

When one reads the third angel's message, one tends to draw back from these verses.

14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.


Remember this message, of the three angel's, is a last warning message to the world.
If we saw a big truck bearing down on a group of children playing on the road. We would be shouting and yelling, -- Get off of the road, That truck will crush your bones and mutilate you terribly, and even though I am here, I can't do anything about it. Get off the road or you will be crushed. Get off if you don't want to be mained and broken for the rest of your life."

Well, God sees something terrible bearing down on the people of this world.
So he puts the warning in alarming tones --

Christ is the ark of protection, the refuge, the life.
The choice is ours.

The Third angels message and Matthew 13:24-30

The message that humanity will be in one or the other of two groups in the end, is taught all through scripture. The two groups grow together, both receiving God's blessings and care. But one group ends in death, while the other group is given a glorious, everlasting future with Christ!
The warnings are all through the scripture -- the ways of this world all end in destruction.
But God wants to save -- He wants to save us so much He gave Jesus to us, to die in our place and grant us pardon and life!!! He open the way so we could escape the inevitable destruction.
Some may look at the harsh results reaped by the followers of evil, as God being cruel, but no, God poured out all heaven to save us!





In the parable we see it was Jesus that planted the good seed in people. Through Jesus we can be sons and daughters of God. He didn't plant any bad seeds in anyone, only good seed.

It is through Jesus that we are changed into "commandment keeping" with the "faith of Jesus" people. (see Rev. 14:12)
That's the good seed Jesus plants within us.
These are the wheat, that receive the third angel's blessing.

But sadly there are many tares -- which apparently can look like wheat at first. They grow, receiving the care and live sustaining blessings from God during their probationary time. But they follow the wrong master.
The third angel is calling out to them like Ezekiel's message "33:11 Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, The end is NOT good at the end of the road you are travelling.
"Throughout the period of probationary time His Spirit is entreating people to accept the gift of life. It is only those who reject His pleading that will be left to perish. God has declared that sin must be destroyed as an evil ruinous to the universe. Those who cling to sin will perish in its destruction." COL 123

URGENCY

"God expects those who claim to be his children to bring others to him. On every hand are opening before us many doors for the presentation of the message of saving truth. Beside all waters the seeds of truth are to be sown. To all the world?to every nation and kindred and tongue and people?the message is to be proclaimed. As those who have received the light of present truth exercise a living faith in Christ, as they labor together with him in soul winning, what a work will be accomplished! For such laborers the angels of God will open ways and furnish opportunities, and will cooperate with the human agent, that he may not run in vain, neither labor in vain.

Christ has opened a fountain for Judah and Jerusalem, and every member of his church is to show his loyalty by inviting the thirsty to drink of the water of life. A chain of living witnesses is to carry the invitation to the world. Will you act your part in this work? God calls. Will you hear his voice, and, denying self, take up the cross and follow him? As you see the peril and the misery of men and women under the working of Satan, do not exhaust your God-given energies in idle lamentations, but go to work for yourselves and for others. Arouse, and feel a burden for those who are perishing.

Sound an alarm through the land. Tell the people that the day of the Lord is near, and hasteth greatly. Let none be left unwarned. We might have been in the position of the poor souls who are in error. According to the truth that we have received above others, we are debtors to impart the same to them.

1893 Sermon 3


"Let us look back a little now. The mystery of iniquity was working in Paul?s day. The apostasy
began; the apostasy went on; the church adopted Sunday; but could she compel anybody to keep
it??No. Could she bring any restrictions, any force, [73] to bear upon people who would keep
the Sabbath of the Lord, to compel them to put Sunday in the place of the Sabbath of the Lord,
so long as the church stood alone??No. But she wanted to compel people to keep it instead of
the Sabbath of the Lord. That apostate church wanted the Sunday sabbath kept instead of the
Sabbath of the Lord, and that people should recognize and observe it instead of the Sabbath.
She could not do it alone.
What then did she do to accomplish her purpose? She took hold of earthly power. She seized
the power of the State. How much power did that government represent in the world at that time?
The Roman Empire was the world power then; so the Church then secured all the power of the
world, and by that she compelled people to receive Sunday instead of the Sabbath of the Lord.
Then was it not by that act that she succeeded in definitely putting the Sunday in the place of the
Sabbath of the Lord? But what was that but making void the law of God? She took the seal of His
law, the heart of His law, that which reveals Him, the seal showing that He is what He is,?she
by force took that away, and put her own sign in its stead. What was that but supplanting God in
the minds of the people of the world? And it was by that act that she succeeded in her purpose, of
making void the law of God. That was the beast. That made the beast. We have preached all these
years that the papacy has made void the law of God. And that is correct.
Let us return now to our own time and the question that is before us. Have not the
Protestant churches kept Sunday a long time? Have they not opposed the keeping of the Sabbath
of the Lord a long time? But they could not compel anybody to keep Sunday instead of the
Sabbath of the fourth commandment. In a measure, it is true, they could enforce the observance
of Sunday in the States. But we know, and they have all confessed, that all efforts through State
laws in this direction, were almost wholly nullified by the fact that the National Government
was against it all, and we all know that one of the great reasons for their strenuous efforts to get
the National Government committed to Sunday was to make the State laws effective. Then in
order to make their purpose effective in exalting Sunday against the Sabbath of the Lord, these
churches, professed Protestantism, had to seize the government of the United States, the power
of this government, as the former apostasy seized the power of the Roman government. And
now she has got it. And in the definite act by which she got it, she aimed at the Sabbath of the
fourth commandment, to put it out of the way and to put the Sunday in its stead. Then have not
these by this definite act also made void the law of God? When the other was done that made
the beast! What is this??It is the image. Is it not time, then, for the third angel?s message to be
given in its own words? ?If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his
forehead or in his hand.?

, ?The Crisis Imminent.? What does that say??
?Something great and decisive is to take place, and that right early. If any delay, the character
of God and His throne will be compromised.? Brethren, by our careless, indifferent attitude,
we are putting God?s throne into jeopardy. Why cannot He work? God is ready. Are not God?s
workmen ready? But if there is any delay, ?the character of God and His throne is jeopardized.?
Are you living day by day, and
hour by hour, in the presence of that terrible fact that it is time for God Himself to work, if His
integrity is going to be maintained to all the world? It is a terrible fact; it is a fearful position. It
brings us to the point of such consecration as not a soul of us ever dreamed of before; unto the
place of such consecration, of such devotion, as will hold ourselves in the presence of God, with
that fearful thought that ?It is time for thee, Lord, to work, for they have made void thy law.

In my last post, i shared a sermon from A.T.Jones .

Back in 1893 something was happening in the United States. There was a strong move to bring in Sunday laws. A.T.Jones took this very seriously and went before the United Senate to present his arguments against this.

His argument: "The principle upon which we stand is that civil government is civil, and has nothing to do in the matter of legislation with regard to religious observance in any way."

The law was defeated but not till some citizens were harassed for working on their property on Sunday.

The sobering thing about this, the Adventist church in general didn't seem that concerned.
Ellen White wrote this testimony which is MUCH MORE ABILICABLE today than even back then.



Well, we may say, there's no Sunday law before the senate

No, but satan has learned a lesson -- government is civil, and should have nothing to do in the matter of legislation with regard to religious observance in any way

Let's fool those Adventists, he says, Let's bring in Sunday observance under a different name of title.

The climate change --- Sunday laws are a part of the climate change

Signs are multiply all around. Jesus is coming soon,
Is the church awake and remembering to give the three angels message, or are they adjusting to temperature of the ever heating crises

I'd like to go through Revelation more systematically again.

SEVEN WARNING ANGELS
1st ANGEL



Another angel? So this isn?t the first angel in this series? The three angels in Revelation 14, are messenger angels ? angels that come with a message. Is there a previous messenger. Moving back through chapters 13,12,11, we don?t find any messenger angels, but in chapter 10 we see a Mighty Angel with a message.

THE MIGHTY ANGEL of Rev. 10

This Mighty Angel, is not a common angel, He is the Commander of the Angelic Host, the Lord of hosts, no less a personage than Christ Himself. He has opened the little scroll, the prophecies of Daniel, and reveals what happens as people begin to study those prophesies.

He is the same Being as the One clothed in Linen, standing on the waters, in Daniel 12:6-7. He holds the book, that was sealed back then, but now is open.
This Mighty Angel, cries with a loud voice, like the roar of a lion, showing His power and authority, as victor over satan and as the Deliverer of His people,

He is about to disclose to John the events concerning the final battle leading to the implementation of His kingdom. His message is the prelude to the messages of the angels in Revelation 14.

Ellen White writes about this scene:

John heard the mysteries which the thunders uttered, but he was commanded not to write them. The special light given to John which was expressed in the seven thunders was a delineation of events which would transpire under the first and second angels' messages. It was not best for the people to know these things, for their faith must necessarily be tested. In the order of God
most wonderful and advanced truths would be proclaimed.
The first and second angels' messages were to be proclaimed, but no further light was to be revealed before these messages had done their specific work. This is represented by the angel standing with one foot on the sea, proclaiming with a most solemn oath that time should be no longer.

This time, which the angel declares with a solemn oath, is not the end of this world's history, neither of probationary time, but of prophetic time, which should precede the advent of our Lord. That is, the people will not have another message upon definite time. After this period of time, reaching from 1842 to 1844, there can be no definite tracing of the prophetic time. The longest reckoning reaches to the autumn of 1844. (7BC 971 EGW)

And it?s at the end of all those prophetic time lines (1842 and onward) that we see the messenger angels of Revelation 14 begin their messages.

ANGEL
Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The message is all about the gospel. It's a call back to everlasting gospel, that is to go to all the world! A call to return to the true gospel. A return to worship our Creator God, the God of the Bible, the One Who spoke, and it stood fast. The One Who created the earth in six literal days. The One Who has given all to restore us to our initial status as His companions, sharing His image, His character.

The time is here, it has now come, when judgment commences. The time when the evidence is laid out before the whole heavenly universe that God is good, just, loving, full of grace and totally fair and holy. Also, the evidence is presented of those who responded to the true gospel and are saved by His grace, and transformed by His Spirit, with God's law written upon their hearts and minds.
The guest list to the Lamb's wedding supper is being verified. Those who remain in the book of life, follow the Lamb in trust and obedience wherever He leads. (14:4) Jesus says concerning them; ?they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. For he that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. ? (Rev. 3:4-5) I will cover their sins and blot those sins out of the book. (Neh. 4:5, Heb.10:16,17)

2nd Angel
14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Notice that the everlasting gospel, according to the first angel, is to be preached to every nation, tribe, and people; everyone dwelling upon the earth.
Yet the next two angels have shifted the focus from the world to Babylon. They are warning people about Babylon. Is Babylon the world, with it's worldliness? Not really, because Rev. 18:4, says God?s people are in Babylon and need to get out. Babylon is not a literal city filled with wicked people who force the world to drink alcohol and engage in immorality.

Babylon is symbolized as a woman in Rev. 17. A woman symbolizes God?s church in scripture. Babylon professes to be a follower of God. But Babylon is a harlot, an unfaithful church who joins herself with the kings of the earth. Thus Babylon has the APPEARANCE of having the gospel, but having fallen, she has perverted the gospel and it's power, and is relying on human kings and governors for her power. She uses civil powers to force all nations to ?drink? her false gospel and accept a counterfeit lord and king.

instead of offering the pure water of the everlasting gospel, she is offering wine (a false gospel and counterfeit doctrines) But the people, in all nations are drunk with these doctrines -- their spiritual senses deadened, happily deceived.

The urgency of the warning is to expose the deception. Warning people who are looking for the gospel not to be drawn into a deadly counterfeit. Urging people in the deception to wake up!
