That Jesus in verse 18, was referring to Himself as related to vs. 16, and 17, and not some long future time that they would all be dead ????? Sorry, I don't understand your statement, as the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in a full measure while they were very much alive, ten days after Christ's ascension. Did my reference to Jesus needing to return to heaven and be "exalted" and inaugurated into the priestly work in the heavenly sanctuary, get confused with the second coming??? This inauguration, which I believe Revelation 4 and 5 is talking about, took place at Christ's ascension, when He, as the slain Lamb is declared worthy to receive honor and to take the book from God's hand and implement the atonement. EGW explains "-]Christ's ascension to heaven was the signal that His followers were to receive the promised blessing. For this they were to wait before they entered upon their work. When Christ passed within the heavenly gates, He was enthroned amidst the adoration of the angels. As soon as this ceremony was completed, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples in rich currents, and Christ was indeed glorified... He had sent the Holy Spirit from heaven to His followers as a token that He had, as priest and king, received all authority in heaven and on earth, and was the Anointed One over His people. {AA 38} The Holy Spirit was already active all through the Old Testament. He wasn't formed after Christ's death. Though His work became much more effective after Christ's ascension and inauguaration as priest and king. Now the gospel could be told in its reality, not just in symbols.

EGW QUOTES of what happened in heaven at Christ's ascension.
"Christ's ascension to heaven was the signal that His followers were to receive the promised blessing. For this they were to wait before they entered upon their work. When Christ passed within the heavenly gates, He was enthroned amidst the adoration of the angels. As soon as this ceremony was completed, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples in rich currents, and Christ was indeed glorified, even with the glory which He had with the Father from all eternity. The Pentecostal outpouring was Heaven's communication that the Redeemer's inauguration was accomplished. According to His promise He had sent the Holy Spirit from heaven to His followers as a token that He had, as priest and king, received all authority in heaven and on earth, and was the Anointed One over His people. {AA 38.3}
The time had now come. The Spirit had been waiting for the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Christ. For ten days the disciples offered their petitions for the outpouring of the Spirit, and Christ in heaven added His intercession. This was the occasion of His ascension and inauguration, a jubilee in heaven. He had ascended on high, leading captivity captive, and He now claimed the gift of the Spirit, that He might pour it out upon His disciples (SW Nov. 28, 1905). {6BC 1055.2}

15 (Jesus said) Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you. 16 In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.
Just as the disciples saw the Father, (through Jesus) as they walked with Jesus. (see John 14:7-9) So we see Jesus, through the Holy Spirit as He leads and impresses our minds with truths that Jesus taught. Lifting our minds and worship to Jesus.
And yes, after a little while we will see Jesus face to face, coming in the clouds of glory, to take us to the Father's house. Do you think Jesus in the context was referring to His second coming? And how does that fit in with the previous statements bolded? In the ultimate sense yes, we will literally, in person, be with God. But in the immediate sense the Holy Spirit, having the fullness of the Godhead, brings Christ and the Father to us spiritually. In the immediate sense both the Father and Christ are with us in the person of the Holy Spirit. Just as the Father was with the disciples in the person of Jesus, there in the upper room.

Well yes, several posts back the final fulfilment of everything was mentioned, for it's true, someday we will be with Christ face to face, but that doesn't contradict what we were talking about in the last posts, which was also mentioned in the same post you pulled up: "But in the immediate sense the Holy Spirit, having the fullness of the Godhead, brings Christ and the Father to us spiritually." In the immediate sense both the Father and Christ are with us in the person of the Holy Spirit.
That's what we were talking about -- the Pentecost experience 10 days after Christ ascended to heaven they received a fuller spiritual presence of the Godhead in their lives through the Holy Spirit. But it was not a face to face presence, which is a blessed future promise.

Is that based upon reading for understanding or is that based upon preconceived ideas? What should I say, like the question 'Have you stopped beating your wife' it puts one in a bad light IMHO..

I find that the writings of EGW on the Godhead states it clearly and is in harmony with the Scriptures.
