Good things can vary depending on your perspective. The Good News includes us, but is also about the sacrifice that the Son of God made to come and save us. It was by His shed blood that their is a remission of sins, and we are redeemed by His blood. The gift of everlasting life is for free, and we can live forever with God. To me thats Great News! God Bless, Will

I agree Will this is good news, but it still seems centered on us. Is there any Good News about God involved? What is the Good News about God?

I would venture to say that the good news about God is that He is love. He so loved theworld that He gave His only begotten Son. What do you think? God Bless, Will

I agree with you Will. The Good News about God is that He is love.
That of itself might be a bit vague. In order that we might clearly understand what love is, God gave His law. The law teaches us how to love God, and how to love man.
As great as the law was, it wasn't enough. In order that we might clearly see what God is like, God must make Himself visible and familar to our eyes. This is what God did in Jesus Christ, who was God in human flesh.
Thus the Good News is that Jesus Christ is God, or God is Jesus Christ (however you want to put is).
The Good News is when we've seen Jesus, we've seen the Father.
What do you think?

Is the good news about good things happening to us? Well, the perspective of what good things are change when a person becomes filled with the Holy Spirit. quote: 2 Corinthians 11 24Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. 29Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? 30If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. 31The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
quote: Philippians 3 7But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Tom, we are the theater of the universe, the focus of heaven. The sinles beings are watching, with intense interest, to see how the life and death of Jesus will affect sinful human beings.
"Jesus did not count heaven a place to be desired while we were lost." (DA 416) "The honor of God, the honor of Christ, is involved in the perfection of the character of His people." (DA 671)
SD 242 The fallen world is the battle-field for the greatest conflict the heavenly universe and earthly powers have ever witnessed. It was appointed as the theater on which would be fought out the grand struggle between good and evil, between heaven and hell. Every human being acts a part in this conflict. No one can stand on neutral ground. Men must either accept or reject the world's Redeemer. All are witnesses, either for or against Christ. Christ calls upon those who stand under His banner to engage in the conflict with Him as faithful soldiers, that they may inherit the crown of life. They have been adopted as sons and daughters of God. Christ has left them His assured promise that great will be the reward in the kingdom of heaven of those who partake of His humiliation and suffering for the truth's sake. {SD 242.3}

God is not who Satan has made Him out to be.

The Good News is primarily about God. It is, as Windsor pointed out, that God is not how Satan has made Him out to be. Instead, God is like Jesus -- exactly like Jesus, in fact.
Christ in His humanity was the full and complete revelation of God.

The evidence that God is good can be seen in what Jesus has done for us on the cross, and in what He is doing for us now. If the life and death of Jesus did not yield the fruit of perfect people, saved by grace, then there would be no evidence that God is good.

Is the evidence that God is good seen in the life of Christ? In His acts of mercy, healing etc.?
Is it true that Christ provided a full and complete revelation of God's character?
