"Evangelical Dancers" was the title appeared in our latest church news letter. The writer wrote that he was invited to a birthday party on Friday evening from a dear friend of his. Since she was such a dear friend he could not turn down the invitation, so he went to the party. Eventaully, he has been drinking coffee to keep himself awake and joined in dancing all night. He further wrote that his behavior is like Christ who went to crowd and mingled with them. Instead of hurting the feeling of his dear friend, by attending the party on the Sabbath and joining in with this partying crowd and going along with whatever the flow, he said he witnessed Christ! Thus, the title of his behavior "Evangelical Dancer". I think this is very disgraceful to our church members, it is outrageous for the people who published such an article in the official church Newsletter. Am I wrong, again? Feedback, please. Won

You are definitely not wrong Won. Further proof of the state of the people in the church. Many are falling off the path, never to return. Wendy --------------- Maranatha!!!

We seem to be living in an age where anything we 'want' to do can be justified as witnessing forgetting that God alone knows the secret intentions of the heart. One day we will all be called to give an account of our actions. Sadly, the Good Book says, some will be found wanting. ...................... Be Still, My Soul Zita

Explaining to his friend why he could not be there would have been real witnessing! ------------------ The Lord is the strength of my life and my portion forever.

I remember reading somewhere that EGW had a vision in which she was climbing a ladder. She several people above her, some were climbing with their eyes looking up to their guide [Jesus] others were faklling off the ladder plummeting to the ground to their deaths. Sounds like some are falling off the ladder; doesn't it? ------------------ Chose you this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15 What is popular is not always right. What is right is not always popular.

Paul, quoting from Isaiah, describes the situation well: And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. Acts 28:25-28

It sounds awful. I'm amazed that an article would go into a newsletter unchecked! Something like this would definately find its way to a board meeting of some sort if tried over here! ------------------ Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. Rom. 12:12 NLT

Thank you brother Ed. I read one article so far, and intend to go back and read the rest. This is a must read for some of those that say there is nothing wrong with 'christian rock'.

Christ warned us about the tares in the church who are sometimes unfortunately also in leadership positions, however, we must not let those tares ruin it for the wheat that remains in the church. The wheat and the tares must grow together. Let us deal with those obvious things that are manifested by the tares and not the tares themselves unless they become so obvious as a tare that the church then needs to take appropriate action relating to their fruit or conduct. __________________________ In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl
