Just found the following headlines on the Drudge Report... FARMERS FACE SIX MONTHS OF FEAR... COUNTRY MARCH POSTPONED AS CRISIS DEEPENS... FOOT & MOUTH THREAT TO ELECTION... THE PARIAHS OF EUROPE... FOOT-AND-MOUTH CRISIS DEEPENS... THE MAKING OF AN EPIDEMIC... MINISTERS SET TO CLOSE OFF RURAL ACCESS... NO-GO BRITAIN... This reminds me of a quote from the SOP: quote: ...But erelong there will be such strife and confusion in the cities, that those who wish to leave them will not be able. We must be preparing for these issues. This is the light that is given me.--General Conference Bulletin, April 6, 1903.
Who would have thought that access to the countryside could be cut off due to disease? ------------------ joy b2u, Karen ________________________ Look up!!! He's coming!

Wendy, I found a good article about all the panic in Europe on Yahoo daily news, World Headlines. The title of the article is "Fears Mount in Europe Over Foot-And-Mouth Disease" The quote about staying out of the countryside is: "The British government has effectively turned the countryside into vast "no go" areas, ordering people to stay away from farms and livestock in a bid to reduce contamination." The economy of Britain is going to be greatly effected by this. All the animals from Britain to other European countries have been slaughtered and are being burned. People are being told to stay home, as this virus can be spread by clothing. It is also carried by the wind. God is letting people know by this too, that animal products are no longer safe to eat. Those who accept this light will be given further light. Lift up your heads and rejoice; for our redemption draws very near! ------------------ joy b2u, Karen ________________________ Look up!!! From the Electronic Telegraph, UK 27 Feb 01 The Day They Closed the Countryside "THE countryside was effectively closed down yesterday with racing banned and local authorities ready to seal off public footpaths under emergency measures to halt the relentless spread of foot and mouth disease." {snip} How quickly things like this can happen. Our only safety from now on is being "hid with Christ in God." ------------------ joy b2u, Karen ________________________ Look up!!! He's coming! We discussed some of this in our mid-week prayer meeting yesterday in Leamington. The town of Leamington itself, all the way to Windsor, Ontario has had off and on "boil water advisories" since last year. These weren't even thought of 10 years ago! In the last business meeting, the Leamington church decided to buy a bottled water system for the church basement. We can't even hold church without it. Speaking of the problems in England, one of my members met someone who just arrived from "Jolly Olde" and she immediately developed a large wart on her forehead--she wondered if the whole country wasn't rife with the plague! The main conclusion by members was that these are warnings of the literal plagues that are coming on very soon. ------------------ Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. Rom. 12:12 NLT

Oh wow!!! I think you could be right! That is amazing. I can't find the text right now, but it's the one where it was given to disease to kill a third of the people with the beasts of the earth. It's starting to get scary out there with plague, pestilence, disease, famine, drought, starvation, etc. Not scary for us because we have the blessed hope. But imagine how those who have no hope must feel. Let's spread Jesus while we can. God bless us all in this work, Wendy ---------------- Maranatha!!!

In Canada, they have asked anyone who comes to our airports from from the countryside of Great Britian to have their clothes professionally cleaned. Here's another concern. When I attended Newbold College from 1983-85, our nearest neighbors were a herd of cows. Each morning I would open my curtains to the cows doing whatever cows do after a good night of sleep. With all of the bans on going to the country, I wonder what's happening over there... ------------------ Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. They've made widespread precautions in various countries to combat against an epidemic In Finland they're telling the Finns who have come from England to take an immediate hop into the sauna. As a Finnish-raised Canadian, I demand that our government protect the health of its people by providing a sauna and hot tub to all of its citizens! For purely health reasons, of course... ------------------ Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.
