Hi Lobo, You asked: quote:
So you are saying that God could not create another God even if he wanted to?
I didn't say any of that. The Bible doesn't teach that He was created at all, but on the contrary He created everything visible, invisible, seen and unseen.
God Bless, Will

Daryl, why do we believe that Jesus is equal to the Father or has always been equal to the Father when scripture states that it is the father that grants Jesus this power or has given it to him?
“26For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. 27And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.” John 5
“57Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever." 59He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.” John 6
I don’t know Daryl, sounds like Jesus is was granted Godship and came from the Father (created). How else could he be granted life and live because of the Father?

What about the 3rd Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit?

I don’t know, I don’t think there is a lot of info on that. In my assessment, the holy spirit always operates on the behavior of the father or son, i.e. “spirit of the Lord”, etc.
But you didn’t address the texts I just posted?

Jesus is not only the Son of God, but is also God. The Father even refers to Him as God. There is nothing about being made like we are made unless we are talking about when Jesus came to earth and was born. quote:
John 1:1-3,14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I will reply: Lobo the texts you have posted do not say anything about Christ being a 'created' God as you assume.
It's a moot point to try and split hairs on a non-issue.
Read John capter 1 please, and also Revelation 1:8 as well as the Old Testament of Jesus Christ, and the New Testament of Jesus Christ and tell me who is The Rock, who made the heavens and the earth, the visible, and the invisible, who is the I AM, who has always benn, who is, and who always will be.
God Bless, Will

Will, you are missing the point. The point is that if Jesus is a God on the same level as the Father, and has been around the same amount of time, why does Jesus “live because of the Father” and “granted life” because of the Father?
If Jesus was a God the same level as the Father, why would he need to be “granted” things from the Father, they would be his outright?

Jesus is not 'a' God. He is God and is also the Son of God. By your explanation we are now worshipping multiple gods.
God Bless, Will

Lobo wrote - "If these text refer to Jesus creating “the Heaven” or dwelling of the Father, then where did the Father reside before that was created? And is there any scripture to indicate that when and/or how God’s dwelling in heaven was created?"
If heaven wasn't created then which came first God or heaven? I believe when the Bible says Jesus created everything it means everything. Only the Goddhead is eternal. Everyone and everything else was created by Jesus.
If the Father created the Son then who did He fellowship with before He created Jesus? and how long did He live alone? Since we don't have answers to such silly questions it makes more sense to me to simply believe the Bible when it says Jesus is a member of the eternal Godhead and creator of everything.
The texts which say Jesus obtained life and authority from the Father is obviously referring to Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of Mary and the Father - not the eternal God. Jesus was merely informing us that even though He had temporarily laid aside His divinity He was still endowed with certain rights and privileges as the Son of God - attributes He was granted when He became a man.
I believe it is important not to misapply the texts which talk about Jesus the uncreated eternal God and the texts which talk about Jesus the incarnate Son of God.
