Mrs White also teaches at his 2ond coming, Jesus will stand upon Mt of Olives.

Whitlie, Sister White makes it clear Jesus will stand upon the Mount of Olives when He returns the third time at the end of the 1000 years.

I do not disagree with you, However since she is quoting Zech. 14:4, their are 18 verses there to be considered, and Her statements in early writings must studied in context of the Scriptures, never the Scriptures in context with her.

EArly Writings was also writing very early in her career as a Messenger sent ffrom God. She says "let the Scriptures be our unerring guide." Since this applys to her as well, we must remember she said consider time and place.

EArly Writings is just that, the early writings of what she was shown in the beggining of her assignment by God. An overview of what she would deal with the rest of her life.

The Great Controversy came out in 1888, and the DEsire of the Ages in the late 1890's. The latter part of her career, During that time she was shown additional light to send to God's people

Regarding those two statements, it is obvious that the place setting of each is not at THE END OF THE THOUSAND YEARS. In fact GC. 359.1 points out to two comings, once to stand on Mt. Olives once afterwords in the glory of HIS Father, when the DEAD IN CHRIST are raised up in the air. The Desire of the Ages page 830, supports this.

Ellen G. White state that more light was to come from her day, even the point of saying another messenger from God would be sent. (EGW 1888 Materials page 239) Believing the statements are truel, then would it not preclude that there is advancing light that needs to be searched out and this is a clue to it.

1888 Materials 133 points out that "what was truth 20 years ago is still truth but is not present truth, and Present truth is what the flock needs now. E W. 63

Whitlie, in GC 359 Sister White was quoting Joseph Wolff. If we are to believe that his thoughts represent her thoughts on the second coming then we must conclude that Sister White taught the New Earth begins when Jesus arrives the second and not the third time. But it is obvious she did not. So, her quoting what Wolff believed does not necessarily mean she agreed with him.

"While Wolff accepted the great truth of Christ's first advent as "a Man of Sorrows, and acquainted with grief," he saw that the prophecies bring to view with equal clearness His second advent with power and glory. And while he sought to lead his people to Jesus of Nazareth as the Promised One, and to point them to His first coming in humiliation as a sacrifice for the sins of men, he taught them also of His second coming as a king and deliverer. {GC 358.2}

The thing is Mrs. White does not contradict him, she affirms him, she is placing this event here at the second coming. That is the whole point. While early writings places its events after the 1000 years, this does not. To, me it says there is something missing. Something that we over looked. My Historical SDA's simple say that Joseph Wolffes comments are an error place in the 1911 edition. That is how they get around it. the claim the 1888 edition is with out error. This is an intresting position considering both books say the same thing one with credits the other with out. If Ellen G. White disageed with Joseph Wolffe than this would be a serious thought to place in the minds of God's professed people

Notice too, on page 359 Of the Great Controversy that Mrs white when to great pains to use two different sections of Joseph Wolffes writings to adress the issue,

1 he comes and stand upon Mt. Olives
2 He Comes again in his Fathers glory and the dead in Christ are raised. That gives the appearance two comings, not one,

This does not harmonize with SDA teaching. and again D of A 830 harmonizes with the G C. 359.
