It seesm our church goes in spurts on clapping and not clapping. Now they seem to be clapping afer someone is baptized. Maybe Pastor Batchelor will ask the congregation to not clap when he gets back, or maybe they asked them not to clap because it was being recorded.
I have been trying to listen to the meetings online. I do not have 3ABN so have to listen online. I also printed out his notes on the sermons. I tried to download the sermon but they do not download. I have been hearing the same thing about the content of them. I am hoping they will be available to buy.

How about a DOUBLE AMEN!!!! The capital letters are for emphasis only. I video-taped all of them except for the 2nd one due to a timing error on my part. 3ABN is re-telecasting them, therefore, I will eventually video-tape that missing 2nd meeting.

yes this series will be for sale. Our church will buy a set, and one of our members is also going to buy a set (DVD). Buying the series will help in further ministries. What is the copyright pending on recording this type of broadcast?

I don't know about the copyright part as 3ABN has always said that any of their programs can be copied and shared.

Seeing that this topic is really on revival, is there really a need for revival? Of course, I expect everybody here will say a resounding "yes" to this question.
Why, then, is there really need for revival?

Becourse revival adds the power to the form. Revival brings confession of sin and a deep thirst for the water of life. Revival unites the people of God to Him and eachother. Revival equips those revived to bring the gospel to others with new vigour and strength and power. Revival sometimes doesnt even demand missionaries to go out for people to be reached. The Holy Spirit brings such who are ready to be saved into revival meetings. In a way the state of revival is what God would want us to have always.

Amen Thomas!
I'd also say, we need revival because the church is *dead asleep*.
About downloading the videos from the site, there is a way to do it, with a program called HiDownload. If anyone wants to know how, PM me...it's fairly technical. And it's not something to try with a dial-up connection -- the files are, like, 300 Mb apiece. (300,000 Kb)

These are the reasons given so far as to why revival is really needed:
1 - Because the church is dead asleep. 2 - Because revival adds the power to the form. 4 - Because revival brings confession of sin 5 - Because revival brings a deep thirst for the water of life. 6 - Because revival unites the people of God to Him and each other. 7 - Because revival equips those revived to bring the gospel to others with new vigour and strength and power.
Those are reasons enough.
Are there any other reasons why revival is really needed?

LDE 189, 190 A revival and a reformation must take place, under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.--RH Feb. 25, 1902. {LDE 189.3}
"Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices." Does this still apply today? If so, how so? If the church is spiritually dead who is alive to affect revival and reformation?

Even if the church is dead or asleap, not all the members are. And the Holy Spirit is continuously working to awaken those who are asleap.
