Daryl, I am looking forward to your story about Silver. I wish I could put a picture of Maggie Mae on here but I dont know how. My husband does all my web page stuff for me as far as putting it on the computer. I have a picture of her. I used to have a kitty that looked just like your cat Prince, his name is Snowman... to go along with the whiteness of him Cathy,
Okay, Im glad to hear that. I get into enough trouble without anyone changing what I say on my own LOL Claudia [This message has been edited by Daryl Fawcett (edited November 22, 2000).]

Daryl, Hi ...yes I see Maggie Mae there. I appreciate you doing the picture for me. Its going to take a while for me to get the hang of this forum. Im used to it being in a different format where I usually go. So I forgot to go back to the Nature forum and thank you for it. Just so everyone knows, thats a picture of Maggie Mae after she got all better and wasnt sick anymore. (she always lays on her back like that when she goes to sleep... ) Thanks again Daryl... Claudia

Christmas 1967 Henrietta was my xmas present to myself. I have a photo of her climbing my xmas tree. Pure white, and certainly not deaf! Her favourite activity was to hide in the garden when I was weeding, and bat my hands! Loved to climb trees, she was a delight for 16 years, always there with me in the garden. I have not owned a cat quite like her since.Miss her still, she was one of those 'special' pets that were 'almost human'. Thanks for the reminder Darryl, lovely photo. Be Still, my Soul. Zita

I have something sad that I am finally posting here. Prince's brother, Silver, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2001. We still miss him very much. We are both still in the grieving stage. I will be placing a picture of him here in this forum soon. __________________________ In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl

I'm so sorry Daryl. That is terrible to lose another one. I hope our pets will be brought back to us in Heaven. It doesn't seem like too much to ask. I think God delights in doing wonderful little things like that for us. I had a shaded-silver persian kitty who was run over by a car. Also, my very first Arabian horse was pure white and gorgeous. She died of twisted gut as a result of cancer in her intestines. Morbidly enough I cut the tail hair and saved it braided for years. I'd love to have her there to climb on her bareback and run through unlimited fields without getting tired or having to go to bed when mom calls. I can't wait for Heaven. This whole thread is just making me homesick for Heaven. That's a good thing though. This world pales in comparison to spending eternity with our lovely Jesus and Heavenly Father. I was impressed to ring my girlfriend yesterday. I discovered that the day before she had taken her cat to the Vet, concerned that he was failing as he was 17 years old. She had to make the dreadful decision on the spot as he was too ill and would only suffer. She was really hurting, and I was glad to have made the phonecall. Our pets are very precious to us, given by God who knew just how much we would need them for comfort, friendship - that is all some people have or can trust in this life. This story was in our local paper this week. Rescue alert for cruising cat. An international mercy mission has been launched to rescue a Taranaki cat who has stowed away on a methanol tanker. Taranaki is in the North Island of New Zealand A crew member of the Tomiwhaka had taken the friendly tortoiseshell, called Colin's, on board two weeks ago. They fell asleep in his cabin and when they awoke the tanker had left port. The tanker is now somewhere north of Papua New Guinea on the way to Korea. Colin's is resident puss at Port Taranaki's tanker terminal and staff there are organising a ship-to-ship transfer to another tanker heading to New Plymouth. They fear that if she is taken ashore in Korea to wait for the next ship to New Plymouth, she may then have to be quarantined for several months before being allowed into New Zealand. "We hear there are about three methanol tankers in the general area which are scheduled to sail to Port Taranaki," tanker terminal watch-house staff member Garth Stone said yesterday. "There's all sorts of action going on regarding a possible transer. We hope it works - our cat's a lovely little thing." Colin's, so named bedcause she was originally adopted by an employee called Colin and became known as Colin's Cat, has loved at the port for nine years. "She thinks she runs the place," said Mr Stone.
