Is there more than just a prophetic value to Bible Prophecy?

What kinds of moral or personal applications might be involved?

I am currently studying Rev.17 in view of these 2 applications; and it has occurred to me that all of the great prophecies are constructed with the dual purposes of prophetic and moral building blocks.

I will post more soon, and will be interested to see any responses. This should be interesting!
