Do we, therefore, have two fathers?
I must admit that I never thought of Christ as also being our Father before.

So do I, we must admit, together, that we have not finish reading the bible, and if Tammy didn't reveal this, we would never know.

A number of good thoughts have been presented here, especially the things that Glenn brought out in regards to Christ being our father while the Father YHWH is his father. Quote:
The indwelling in relation to Christ in His humanity and I stress in His humanity, is an example of the same indwelling that we all can have in our own humanity. Of course, unlike Christ, we do not also have our own divinity within, as He has/had/has his own divinity within while on this earth in His pre-sacrificial humanity.
The indwelling in relation to Christ in His humanity is indeed an example of the same indwelling that we all can have. Moreover, John tells us that what we have seen in Christ in his humanity is that eternal life which was with the Father from the beginning and was revealed to us. Yes, that indwelling is the eternal life which was in Christ from the beginning.
Christ never has/had/has his own divinity whether in heaven or on earth, or in heaven again. He lives by the Father, and such “living by the Father” is life-eternal. The Father dwells in him, and works through him. The Father is his divinity.
In the pre-incarnation time, this relationship was not understood; not because it was not there, but because sin and self blinded the eyes so that we could not see the way of the Son. The Son had to come in human form so that we could see that he is, and that he is a genuine person and the relationship that exists between the Father and him.
Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Christ is the Word, the living Word of the Father. He is not his own word, but the word of the Father. As such, in the Old Testament time when he appeared, our sin-polluted, self-centered view could not recognize the Son in his transparency, where he did nothing of himself. For when he spoke, it was the word of his Father (YHWH). He did not present himself; he did not speak of himself; or work of himself. At various times in the old testament times we see his presence, such as: Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Exo 23:20,21 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. Zec 3:1,2 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? But whenever we hear the angel of the Lord speaking we hear the LORD (YHWH), for he was the Word of his Father. We are called to this relationship; for we were created in their image and in their likeness. Christ came that this mystery, the mystery of the relationship, might be revealed; that we might know the eternal life; the relationship; the faith and love; the indwelling of the Father in us. How by faith, we may be all that Christ is and yet that our person is not effaced; that by faith the Father and the Son can dwell in us and live in us, and yet our person is not effaced. Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto sonship by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Christ our brother and father is Son of his Father and our Father. All things are of God the Father, the Father of Christ. But, all things are through Christ the Son of the Father. 1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by (through) whom are all things, and we by him. Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

THE LIFE WITHIN
It was an angel, most perfect, mighty and bright (Ez.28:12-15) That turned his eyes from the One Great Light (Is. 14:12) To be the author of self and sin, (John 8:44) And erased the image of God within. (Ez. 28:16-19)
It was a perfect man, without spot or stain, (Gen 1:27) Perfect in body, yet through him sin came, (Gen 3:6-8) Bringing the woes of self and sin, (Rom 5:12) To mar the image of God, within. (Rom 3:23)
But the Lamb of God, who within was pure, (Matt 3:17; John 18:37) Yet in sinful flesh, degraded for sure; (Rom 8:3; Is 53:2) He won the victory over self and sin, (Matt 4:10; John 8:46) To restore the image of God, within. (John 17:22,23; Matt 16:24)
It is not the physics that makes a Son, (Rom 9:7,8; John 8:37-42; Matt 15:16-20) But spirit divine that makes Him one. (Rom 1:4; Gal 3:7) His delight: to do His Father’s will, (Ps 40:7,8; John 8:29) Establishes faith; that God’s life might fill! (John 1:12; Rom 3:22; Eph 3:19)
It is not the mighty, healthy or wise, (Jer 9:23,24; 1 Cor 1:25-27) Who stand as sons in the Father’s eyes; (Acts 10:34,35) But he who truly by faith now lives, (Rom 1:17; Rom 14:23; Gal 2:20) Receives the inheritance that God gives. (Eph 1:9-11,18)
The Gospel of the Kingdom, the Son did bring, (Matt 4:23; Luke 4:43; Rom 16:25,26) To show us that the outward is not the thing; (Matt 6:25-34; Rom 14:17,18) The Father sees the contrite heart, (Is 66:2; Is 57:15) That He may dwell in the inward part. (Eph 3:16-19)
Consider now: Do you comprehend, (2Cor 13:5; Gal 3:3) Wherein the life of the Son does stand? (John 1:14; 4:34) For in the knowledge of the Father and Son (John 17:3; 1John 1:1-3) Is life eternal for every one. (Rom 8:29)
