I read the following somewhere and thought I would share it here:
Hi all you bird and animal lovers.
Yesterday, Sabbath, my Mother-in-law, Peggy and I were sitting in the yard swing. I had just finished reading to them when Peggy's mom discovered a fledging Cedar Wax Wing being stalked by our cat. He just opened his mouth expecting the cat to feed him. Truly trusting soul. We retrieved him before the cat could make a meal of him and hunted up some worms and bugs to feed him. Today he is sitting on our fingers and shoulders, talking, preening
himself and opening his mouth for more food. You'd think he was domesticated. We've never experienced a wild creature take to us as he has. What a wonderful Sabbath present the Lord provided. When he gets old enough to fend for himself, we'll let him have his freedom, of course. We took some pictures of him, wished we could share them.
